Clear-cut Communion This Bookwus, or wild man of the woods represents a time not-so-long-ago when humans, animals and super-natural creatures lived harmoniously and respectfully, well within reach and sight of each other. The Bookwus is communicating, or communing with the frog. Frog represents the power of transformation, and so is a liaison between the natural and supernatural worlds. They sit on a tree stump and their ³discussion² is about the destruction of the ancient forests and what they might do about it.The logging industry has become far too efficient at log removal and the destruction of our natural habitats.
